Vito A. ("Tony") Pinto is the resident Partner in our New Jersey office.
At WCM, Tony:
- litigates sophisticated liability, insurance coverage, property damage, environmental and construction defect matters;
- handles appeals of insurance and commercial disputes before the New Jersey Appellate Division.
Before joining WCM, Tony was a partner in a regional firm where he served on the firm's management committee and focused on litigation and compliance matters including insurance coverage, liability, environmental, property damage, construction defect and real estate disputes.
Tony has handled numerous commercial real estate transactions involving the acquisition,
development and disposition of commercial real estate as well as litigation arising
from those transactions, commercial lease disputes, the defense of condemnation proceedings,
condominium construction and transition control issues and bid disputes. He also
litigated sophisticated environmental remediation, compliance and enforcement actions
and has brought private party cost recovery and multi-
Tony has argued cases before both New Jersey's Supreme Court and its Appellate Division. He has also served as northeastern regional counsel for a publicly traded corporation with significant northeast operations. Before entering into private practice, Tony was Law Clerk to the Honorable James J. Petrella, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Appellate Division.

Tony is active in both the Union County and New Jersey State Bar Associations. He also teaches trial advocacy to high school students in connection with Essex County's Vincent J. Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition. He is a frequent writer and lecturer on issues relating to litigation, environmental, and real estate matters.
