Chinese Drywall -- A Big Source of Personal Injury Claims.

A new home. The dream of a lifetime. Unfortunately, for many, it is becoming more of a nightmare. Although CPC studies are not due out until later this month, for the moment, courts -- particularly in the south and west where new home construction is most common -- are being flooded with claims that homeowners have developed injuries from houses built with Chinese drywall. Complicating matters is that many of the construction companies that built the houses have limited assets and the Chinese companies are resisting service in the US. In such circumstances, the "logical" target of plaintiffs? Insurance companies.
