New Jersey Governor Vetoes Wrongful Death Bill

On Tuesday, Governor Corzine vetoed the Wrongful Death Bill which attempted to drastically expand recoverable damages in wrongful death cases. Corzine pointed to the lack of damage caps as his reason for the veto, finding that "unlimited damages" could significantly impact state and local budgets and be bad for New Jersey business.
