John Diffley brings more than 15 years of courtroom-tested trial, appellate and transactional advocacy to a wide variety of cases. John defends individuals, corporations and municipalities against high-exposure labor law, premises liability, civil rights, automobile liability and other general liability claims.
John started his career as a Series 7 and 63 licensed associate in big houses on Wall Street. On the operations side of the international securities and Treasury Bill lending desk at Morgan Stanley and the front line for high net-worth client services, including managing value-based portfolios and team overseeing firm & client publication regarding securities positions and economic outlook, at Sanford C. Bernstein & Assoc., Inc.
Before joining WCM, John ran his own litigation firm, advising and representing individuals, developers, cooperative corporations, lenders and local government officials in commercial and residential real property transactions, real property disputes, administrative hearings, federal wage and hour disputes, election law matters, and personal injury claims.
John lectures on topics in the American criminal justice system as an adjunct professor at the City University of New York.
