Employers Allowed To Cut Health Benefits To Retirees Over Age 65

In an attempt to secure employer-sponsored health benefits to retirees under the age of 65, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has declared that employers may eliminate health benefits for retirees once they turn 65. Upheld by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the court found that this regulation is exempt from age dscrimination laws.
