We have <a href="http://blog.wcmlaw.com/2012/08/food-safety-laws-delayed/">commented at length </a>about the lack of new FSMA regulations.   <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-rt-us-usa-fda-foodbre8901cw-20121001,0,3789478.story">According to</a> FDA chief Margaret Hamburg, the FDA is getting ready to issue the new regulations "soon."  The problem is a lack of funding.  With the elections but six weeks away, I wouldn't expect anything meaningful to happen before November.
