Certain things should be taken for granted between lawyers. Things like civility, professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, in the case of Laddcap Value Partners, LP v. Lowenstein Sandler, PC, a legal malpractice claim, counsel for the plaintiff forgot these basic principles. During a deposition, on the record, he repeatedly referred to defense counsel as "hon" and "girl" and otherwise made inappropriate remarks. This has now landed him in hot water and all of his future depositions will be supervised by the Court.
