Warning Labels for Artichokes?

We don't usually comment on cases outside of the firm's core jurisdictions, but sometimes a case comes along that is just too good to pass up. In Florida, Dr. Miamian Arturo Carvajal, a general practitioner, is suing a chain restaurant because the restaurant didn't show him how to eat an artichoke - As a result of the restaurant's alleged negligence, the good doctor claims that he ate his way through the entire artichoke (including the thorny outside leaves) and then began to have a bit of a tummy ache. Tests revealed that the outside leaves (which are not designed for eating) were lodged inside his bowels. A judge or jury will now get to decide whether the restaurant needed to instruct people on how to eat food before the restaurant sold or served it. Truth truly is stranger than fiction.
