Abed Z. Bhuyan is Counsel in the New York Office where he handles complex litigation, insurance coverage, and appeals matters. He has a demonstrated history of handling sensitive litigations both as a former prosecutor and as management-side defense counsel. He was previously an assistant district attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, where he investigated and prosecuted crimes of domestic violence and defended convictions on appeal. Later as an assistant corporation counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Division of the New York City Law Department, he represented and defended the City of New York and its agencies in a broad range of single-plaintiff state and federal employment litigation.
