48% of Chicken in US Stores Contaminated with E-Coli.

According to this NYT <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/12/health/in-small-sample-e-coli-found-in-48-of-chicken-in-stores.html?_r=1&amp;ref=business">article</a>, a study by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has found that 48 percent of 120 chicken products bought in 10 major US cities was contaminated with e-coli, likely resulting from fecal contamination.  The study has been challenged (on bias and sample size grounds), but it gives insurers something else to worry about.  It also makes you look a different way at your grilled chicken or chicken curry dinner...
