After his wife died from an allergic reaction to food served at a Disney restaurant in Orlando, Florida, plaintiff brought a wrongful death suit in the Florida circuit court.  Disney, pointing to an arbitration clause agreed to by plaintiff when signing up for the Disney+ streaming service several years earlier, asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit and compel arbitration.  Disney’s motion is set for hearing on October 2, 2024.   For more, see:
