Joshua Johnwell is a Law Clerk in WCM’s New Jersey office. Prior to joining WCM, Joshua gained litigation experience by working as a law clerk at a New Jersey law firm, legal intern at Prudential Financial, and legal assistant at a plaintiff firm in Texas that focused on Section 1983 claims.

Joshua received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School as an ABOTA and Feuerstein Scholarship Recipient. While at Rutgers, he served as Senior Associate Editor of the Rutgers Race and The Law Review, represented low-income taxpayers through the Federal Tax Clinic, and provided legal assistance to LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers as a volunteer. Additionally, Joshua advanced as a finalist in the David & Albert Cohn Appellate Advocacy Competition and received the Best Brief Award.

Joshua is interested in complex legal issues arising under the First Amendment, intellectual property, and securities law. Outside of work, Joshua enjoys martial arts, watching e-sports, and playing video games.
